This is it. I loaded a tight kiln yesterday, most of the dinnerware pieces got in plus other odds and ends to fill spaces. The most shelves I’ve ever managed to put in this little workhorse.
After the kiln was loaded and the door bricked (which always takes a considerable amount of effort, time and some cursing) I got a message from Adam that Lyza’s finger may be broken…
So, we spent most of our evening in ER.

Luckily her finger was not broken and she resumed her usual activities already in the hospital:)
Dwight started the kiln for me last night and turned it up a few times, allowing me to make and eat breakfast this morning, before coming to watch over the rest of the firing, and salting later.
Thank you, Dwight!

Cone 6 is starting to bend, and so far (knock 3x on wood) this is the most even firing I’ve had… Hope I don’t have to eat my words later.
A bit of reduction.
Steady hum of the gas fire…
This will be a good time to map out the plans for our November kiln building workshop!
Have a good Saturday y’all!
